How Educators Can Use the CREEC Network
Educators can log on to the CREEC Network website – www.creec.org – to meet their regional CREEC Network Coordinator or find hundreds of environmental education (EE) resources to strengthen instruction and motivate learning across the curriculum.
- Search the online Resource Directory and find activities, teaching materials, and field trips for specific topics, grade levels, and regions.
- See a Calendar of workshops and other EE-related events in each region.
- Join online EE Discussion Groups on a wide range of EE topics.
- Find funding for EE projects.
- Subscribe to a regional EE Newsletter and join other educators and program providers cooperating to meet the changing needs of today’s students.
- Find guidelines to evaluate the quality of EE resources.
- Select a Workshop and Conference offering hands-on access to standards-based activities and materials.
- Participate in a regional EE Advisory Survey, EE Forum, or EE Resource Fair.
- Request assistance from a professional CREEC Network Coordinator.
- Share knowledge of the CREEC Network with others.
EE Providers can log-on to the CREEC Network website – www.creec.org – and find professional support, enhance program effectiveness, reach new audiences, and meet the changing needs of today’s students.
- Take advantage of all the Services and Resources above.
- Evaluate EE programs for alignment with new state standards and teaching methods.
- Add programs and resources to the online Resource Directory.
- Coordinate services to minimize duplication and inefficient competition.
- Connect with K-12 teachers and the EE community in every region of the state.
- Receive individualized assistance from a CREEC Network professional.
