Who
The CREEC Network's mission is to develop a regional communication hub which provides educators with high quality environmental education resources to enhance the environmental literacy of all students. A statewide project through the California Department of Education's Environmental Education Office, the CREEC Network is the vision of Bill Andrews, consultant for the Office of Environmental Education, managed statewide by Celeste Royer and coordinated by Allison Poklemba in Region 1- Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Sonoma, and Lake counties.

What
There are several aspects to CREEC. One of the most exciting is the development of the On-line Searchable Resource Directory, which will list all the formal/nonformal high quality environmental education providers in our North Coast region and the state. Region 1's website acts as a clearinghouse for Environmental Education (EE) resources on the North Coast. EE services/resources have been screened, but inclusion on this site is not an endorsement of a program, service, or organization by the CREEC Network or the California Department of Education.
Use the Calendar page to learn about those EE workshops/events you've been meaning to attend, and find out about new opportunities. Please let Allison know of any individuals, agencies or organizations wich provide EE opportunities that are not listed in the Resource Directory for our region.
