ENERGY AND GLOBAL WARMING FOCUS
Global warming presents an enormous threat to the health and the sustainability of our planet. Youth everywhere are rising to the climate challenge, talking not just about the problems, but focusing on solutions--building a clean energy economy, creating millions of new green collar jobs as a pathway out of poverty and towards justice for all people and the planet.  The SSC can give you the skills you need to succeed. Energy not your thing?  Don't worry—the skills you'll learn at the summer program will be applicable to whatever issues excite you the most.

Cost: The subsidized cost of the program is set up on a sliding scale, from $150-200* (please pay what you can afford).  This covers tuition, room and board, local transportation to and from the site, and all the benefits of membership in the Sierra Club.  Don't let money concerns keep you from applying and attending; we will help you request funds from your school or local Sierra Club chapter, or you can also apply for a need-based fee waiver from the SSC. Travel scholarships are also available. [*note there is no cost for the PR, CA, or NM programs, though these two programs give preference to local and/or minority students]

**Special Group Rate: $480 for 4 people/$400 for 3 people**
