"Zero
Waste” is a philosophy and design principle that goes beyond recycling
to take a far-reaching systems approach to the flow of resources and
waste through society. <st1:city><st1:place></st1:place></st1:city><st1:city><st1:place>Sunnyvale</st1:place></st1:city> ’s City Council will be considering Zero Waste policy options in 2008. <o:p></o:p>
The
City’s Recycling/Solid Waste staff will hold an informational meeting,
which will include a review of Zero Waste policies and waste
reduction/recycling programs from other cities, in order to engage
business and residential community members in a discussion on the
options that would best fit our community. <o:p></o:p>
