San Joaquin County Earth Day Festival, Fran Abbott Mini-Grants for Environmental Education

Teachers in San Joaquin County may apply for grants of up to $250 to fund activities in environmental education in their classrooms.  Previous grants have included geocaching, school gardens, field trips, solar activities, fish projects, shopping bag promotion.  For more information and the grant application click on  San Joaquin County Earth Day Teacher Mini-grants  or contact Conni Bock,  cbock@sjcoe.net

Modesto Garden Club: School Garden Partnership Grants

Each year the Modesto Garden Club awards $150 to schools that promote "hands on" learning about gardening.  Some schools have after school programs, while others work with the students during the school day.  Modesto Garden Club members work at these school sites by assisting the teachers or directing the program themselves.
