Calaveras High School Earth Club  The Calaveras High School Earth Club is the most active club on campus, and an example of an exemplary environmental education program in Region 6.  They raise funds by recycling on campus every week, and use that money and community partners to fund many very successful projects.  This includes rewarding local shoppers for using reusable bags, adopting a section of Highway 49 to keep clean, hosting a lightbulb trade-in day at a local store, and conducting daily Earth Week activities on campus.  To find out more about what they are up to and how you can start your own Earth Club, click here:  Calaverasclub

Delta Experience: Four kindergarten classes at John Riggio School in Lincoln Unified, Stockton, CA had a special day devoted to activities involving environmental science and the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta.  They got to climb on boats from the Coast Guard and Fish and Wildlife, create a mural with a local artist, explore local plants and animals and much more, supported by volunteers from the local community.
