Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI)

The EEI draft curriculum units are now posted for review. Click here to view the draft units.  With more than 150 K-12th grade units in progress, they will be posting each draft unit for 30 days for public comment.  This time limitation will ensure that our editing team can finalize each unit.

Their hope is that by reviewing the draft units, you will gain a better understanding of how  the EEI curriculum is designed and how to better align your own organization’s instructional materials with the Environmental Principals and Concepts (www.calepa.ca.gov/Education/EEI/Principles).  Additional information on the background and details of EEI is available at www.calepa.ca.gov/Education/EEI.

Two New Articles Highlight Environmental Education Work

Environmental Education & Training Partnership (EETAP) has completed two new articles on key initiatives in environmental education (EE).  They highlight work by EETAP, its partners, and others in related areas within EE.  The articles are written in a popular style to inform EE practitioners and other educators about programs and trends in EE and their significance for the field.  EETAP has posted the articles on its website for educators to read and download.  Click here for a short description of each article and links for accessing them.
