GREAT TOPICS!
Disney's Planet Challenge!
Open the door to a school year full of rewarding activities and a curriculum that will inspire your students to think differently about their roles as environmental stewards and members of society. At the end of the year, you will graduate a group of empowered children who know how to be agents of positive change within their communities.
Any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade class or combination class in a public or private school can participate. After school science and ecology clubs can compete as long as the students are comprised of 4th, 5th, and 6th grader and the project is an integral part of the regular classroom curriculum.
Visit http://disney.go.com/planetchallenge/ for more information and to sign up.

"You've probably heard people talk about conservation. Well,
conservation isn't just the business of a few people. It's a matter
that concerns all of us. It's a science whose principles are written in
the oldest code in the world, the laws of nature. The natural resources
of our vast continent are not inexhaustible. But if we will use our
riches wisely, if we will protect our wildlife and preserve our lakes
and streams, these things will last us for generations to come."
-- Walt Disney
The Walt Disney Company continues to operate in a manner upholding
Walt's progressive ideals. In 1990, the Company introduced
Environmentality and identified Jiminy Cricket as the mascot to
represent this initiative and serve as the official conscience for Cast
Members and Guests.
Environmentality is a fundamental ethic that blends business
growth with the conservation of natural resources. Attention to the
environment drives new business initiatives demonstrating how
environmental stewardship goes hand-in-hand with bottom line cost
savings.
Please take a moment to reflect on your individual action and join Jiminy Cricket by adopting Environmentality.
"Recycle, reduce, reuse and close the loop."
Recycling is one of the easiest and best things we can do for Planet
Earth. By recycling and then buying recycled products for home, school
and play, we can really make a difference. Join Recycle Rex as he challenges us to do our part!

The No Child Left Inside Act gives new incentives and support to school
