California Department of Education, Environmental Education
Program, in collaboration with state, regional and local
partners. The CREEC Network is the best source for Environmental
Education resources in California.

Disney's Planet Challenge!Open the door to a school year full of rewarding activities and a curriculum that will inspire your students to think differently about their roles as environmental stewards and members of society. At the end of the year, you will graduate a group of empowered children who know how to be agents of positive change within their communities.
Any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade class or combination class in a public or private school can participate. After school science and ecology clubs can compete as long as the students are comprised of 4th, 5th, and 6th grader and the project is an integral part of the regular classroom curriculum.

EDUCATION AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVE:

The No Child Left Inside Act gives new incentives and support to school
systems to provide environmental education. The Act also recognizes
that high-quality environmental education often requires students to
use math, reading, science and writing skills as they pursue engaging
activities.
