Keep Up to Date on Environmental Education
 
 
The listserve is designed to announce the latest additions to the web site, news
about events, resources, professional development, job opportunities, discussions,
and for sharing of ideas, concerns, and for posting of questions and requests
to the EE community in the central California counties of Merced, Mariposa, Madera,
Fresno, Kings and Tulare. An update is mailed to list members 2-4 times each month
2nd - List your Organization as an EE Resource Provider:
If you or your organization conduct school site EE programs and activities,
host classroom visits or teacher workshops, or provide EE materials for K-12
education, please submit your information via the Provider
and Program/Resource forms below. Also, please send Trudy any images
(electronic or print) of your program in action with students or teachers.
Use these criteria to determine if your program and materials are suitable for CREEC. (The filter list is also included at the bottom of this page.)
Method 1 - Online entry and submission of information -
Step 1: Go to the list of EE Providers Serving Region 7 at:
http://creec.edgateway.net/cs/creec7p/query/q/9
If your organization is listed, click on it. You can then update the information
or add Programs/Resources that you offer, see Step 2.
If your organization is not listed, click on the link at the top right that says
Add a Provider to the List. You can also access the form directly at: http://creec.edgateway.net/PDF_forms/directory_forms7.pdf
After you've submitted the form an email will be sent to the regional coordinator
for approval. Once approved you will be notified by email and given instructions
on how to add Programs and Resources.
Step 2: If your organization is already listed click on the Add a Program/Resource
to this Provider button at the top right of the page. Submit this form for EACH
type of Program or Resource that you offer.

This information will be used in the statewide Online Resource Directory for EE and on an information page on your organization on the CREEC Network Region 7 website.

How to tell if your program and/or materials meet CREEC Network standards for quality?

If you answer "yes" to any of the following questions, that specific resource would NOT be appropriate for the CREEC Network Online Environmental Education Directory.
Does the resource…
a) advocate a specific point of view (political, economic, religious)?
b) contain blatant advertising for the sale or profit of the project sponsor or developer?
c) use fear (doom and gloom), guilt, or blaming to motivate?
d) contain biased, unsubstantiated, or factually inaccurate information?
e) attack or degrade an individual or organization/agency?
f) contain concepts, language, or activities that are targeted for school age students, but not age (developmentally) appropriate?
g) suggest activities or goals that are beyond the capability of students (e.g. knowledge, skill, maturity) to complete and have measurable success?
