Youth for a Green Economy Symposium – December 6, 2008
Pacific Beach High School, San Luis Obispois participating in the Lexus Eco Challenge described below and invites you to the Youth for a Green Economy Symposium on Saturday December 6, 2008 from 10am to 2pm. The event will be held at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden Oak Glen Pavilion, located in El Chorro Regional Park in SLO across from Cuesta College (www.slobg.org). We would like to invite your school to attend and/or participate in this youth green job symposium.
The Lexus Eco Challenge, created by Lexus, the luxury automaker, and Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, was designed to educate young people about the environment and to inspire them to create a better world. We invite community members and area schools to participate in demonstrations, displays, and activities that highlight ways to protect and preserve the environment. The symposium will be much more successful if youth from all over our county attend and take part. Entry into the Lexus Eco Challenge is not required.
