Featuring a Directory of Resources Teachers have easy electronic access to the best environmental education (EE) resources in the state through the creec.org website! Thousands of organizations and resources are available through an easy to use searchable database, which serves as a one-stop shop of up-to-date environmental education program information in the state. http://www.creec.org/region8 Email Newsletter

Every other week, nearly 3,000 teachers and environmental leaders receive updates and news on environmental education opportunities like: field trips, professional development opportunities, grants, student contests, EE fairs, and many other items. This newsletter serves as an invaluable tool to network teachers and EE providers. Strong partnerships among EE organizations have developed through countywide meetings organized by the Region 8 CREEC Network Coordinator for all four counties. This network of EE organizations minimizes redundancy and maximizes collaboration as organizations cooperate for the benefit of teachers and students. Advice and Support

Partners in the Region 8 CREEC Network have an “expert on staff” through the CREEC Coordinator. Advice and support are just a phone call away! Need help understanding the California State Education Standards? Is broader outreach your goal? The CREEC Coordinator helps partners extend their environmental message into the classroom through email newsletters, grant opportunities and potential school partnerships. Statewide Influence

The CREEC Network takes a leading role in statewide policy on environmental education. The CREEC Network is active in participating the implementation of Education and the Environment: Strategic Initiatives for Enhancing Education in California.
