| Education and the Environment Initiative Update The Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI) Curriculum integrates education about the environment into the core subjects of Science and History/Social Science already taught in our K–12 school system. EEI curriculum is aligned to California's academic content standards and is approved by the State Board of Education. Learning through EEI, students' engagement and their mastering of the academic content standards go hand-in-hand with gaining environmental literacy. Website contains information and videos of EEI in action featuring real teachers and students. Online Professional Development will be available soon.
