ELECTRONIC NATURALIST  The Electronic Naturalist is an online education program providing a weekly environmental education unit.  Each unit has artwork, text, activities, additional web sites, plus online access to a professional naturalist.  Two reading levels are available for grades K-3 (Quick Read) and 4-8 (full Read).  The units cover insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, plants and environmental issues.

INTERPRETING PARKS AND GARDENS A 10-week online course for the staff, docents and volunteers of public gardens, parks, zoos, aquariums, and simimlar institutions. Explore how to create and use interpretive programming to improve visitor understanding. A Certified Interpretive Trainer using text, images and case studies will guide this web-based class. PROJECT WILD AQUATIC ONLINE WORKSHOP In lieu of physically attending an Aquatic WILD Workshop, educators may obtain a curriculum guide through a self-directed, on-line workshop.  Please contact Alisha Jurick at ajurick@dfg.ca.gov to register.

NATIONAL TEACHERS ENHANCEMENT NETWORK National Teachers Enhancement Network (NTEN) is offering 15 Global Warming, Climate Change and Our Environment Summer Online courses for K-12 science teachers. Course participants will study global warming by exploring the geography of climate change and resultant wildlife changes in the mountains and plains of the U.S. and Russia; conduct case studies on climate and wildlife changes in their local region; and evaluate how these changes are impacting the ecosystem where they live. Teachers can earn two graduate semester credits while participating in engaging activities that are relevant to their classroom teaching.

APPLIED ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAM EVALUATION ONLINE COURSE   This course is designed to assist environmental educators and natural resources professionals in evaluating their education programs.  Participants will design evaluation tools such as surveys, observation forms and interview and focus group guides.  Participants may obtain three undergraduate or graduate credits.  All participants, regardless of location, are eligible for the in-state tuition rate.  To learn more visit the EETAP Web sire at http://www.eetap.org/ and click on "Online EE Courses" under "Resources."

FROM SEED TO SEED COURSE  This course is designed for teachers who incorporate botany and gardening into their science curriculum, and for those seeking more background knowledge for teaching plant-based science.  In addition to botany fundamentals, it provides activities and experiments that address K-8 national standards in various disciplines.
